My story
Hi, I’m Jordan — founder of How 2 Be More.
I’ve spent over a decade in the fitness industry, growing and evolving as a coach through personal experience, education, and mentorship. My work blends personal training, nutrition coaching, intuitive eating, and mindset development to help you create lasting change.
Earlier in my journey, I was a competitive bodybuilder — an experience that shaped my understanding of both physical strength and mental resilience.
Through my personal journey, I experienced firsthand the toll that an obsession with physical appearance can take. The pressure to stay “stage-ready” and the mental weight I carried became overwhelming, leading to struggles with body image, mental health, and an unhealthy relationship with food. Recognizing how much this was affecting my overall well-being, I knew I needed to change—so I did.
After years of bodybuilding, I found myself in an identity crisis. I had built a body I thought would finally make me feel “enough,” but inside I was crumbling. The discipline and perfection that once gave me purpose had become my prison. I was constantly chasing an image — an ideal that never felt satisfied.
When the walls came crashing down, I was left with a haunting question: why did I feel so out of control — not just with food, but with my emotions?
That question became the starting point of my healing journey. For years, I had struggled with disordered eating patterns — cycles of binging, restricting, and guilt that left me feeling lost and ashamed. Learning about intuitive eating changed everything. I began to listen to my body, give myself permission to eat, and release the grip of diet culture. That process of self-compassion transformed not only my relationship with food but my entire life.
As I studied and became a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I began teaching these same principles to my clients — guiding them toward flexibility, body awareness, and genuine freedom. Along the way, I discovered that true transformation doesn’t start with the body — it starts with the mind and the heart. Our emotional and mental health are the foundation of lasting change.
That realization sparked something deeper — a calling to build something beyond myself.
I created How 2 Be More to help people like me find peace with their food, their bodies, and their minds — and to challenge an industry that too often overlooks the complexity and individuality of the human experience.
The fitness industry has long been built around rigid ideals of discipline, structure, and control — but real people don’t fit inside those boxes.
Or maybe, for a while, you do… but is it sustainable?
In my experience, it wasn’t.
I spent years chasing an image of health that demanded perfection — but the harder I pushed, the further I drifted from balance, joy, and trust in my body.
What I’ve learned is that we are not machines built to perform; we are beautifully complex, intuitive, and ever-changing.
Restrictive programs fail because they only focus on the external, while lasting change begins from within — through understanding, self-awareness, and compassion.
Today, I’m free from food addiction and body dysmorphia, and that freedom is what inspired me to create How 2 Be More — a space for real people to reconnect with themselves, rebuild confidence, and find harmony in movement, nourishment, and mindset.
Because true transformation — the kind that lasts — always begins within.
